Congratulations to Deborah Sugg Ryan for winning the book prize for 2020 Historians of British Art Book Award for Exemplary Scholarship on the Period After 1800

Please join us to congratulate Deborah Sugg Ryan for winning the book prize for 2020 Historians of British Art Book Award for Exemplary Scholarship on the Period After 1800. Deborah's monograph titled 'Ideal Homes, 1918–39: Domestic Designs and Suburban Modernism', is published by Manchester University Press and was awarded a DHS 25th Anniversary Award.

This is the second accolade for Deborah's publication, which was also one of only four shortlisted books for the Society of Architectural Historians of Great Britain Alice Davis Hitchcock Medallion 2019 for an outstanding contribution to architectural history.

Deborah will be organising a Portsmouth Bookfest event focused on her book with author John Boughton and Stephen Morgan MP on 6 March. Further details can be found here.
